Why do people do this and not that?

Why is it that when people post questions like " My girlfriend is breaking up with me, what can I do?" or "How do chickens have ? but don't answer questions that are more important and needs an opinion. What my question is why do people on Yahoo Answers, answer stupid questions rather then asking the ones that need knowledge or comprehension of certain subjects or skills? Why?
