Should I still use this eye lash adhesive?

So I bought a 'False Eyelash Starter Kit'.. I didn't notice until after I bought it but it said "Product contains formaldehyde, a chemical known to the state of California to cause Cancer". Why in the world would they still sell it if it puts you at risk of cancer?!?! So should it still be good to use? Or should I just buy another adhesive?
