The cost of living is rising and Australian are feeling it...low inflation?

No longer can we be believe that Australia has low inflation...besides food and energy prices going up much more than the reported CPI, rents are going up (not sure if they are even included in the basket)...and companies are all raising their prices (or keeping the price the same, but reducing the size). I recently got a letter from foxtel saying that they are raising the cost of my service by around 5%. It has gone up around 10% in the last year and half. The can't blame it on the drought or petrol prices...but they blatantly stated in the letter that part of the reason was due to inflation. I will be disconnecting my service when my contract ends.
